Selkirk Mountain Experience

How we lower our carbon bootprint

  • 100% non-mechanized mountain adventure
  • Gravity fed hydro power electric system
  • Solar powered repeater and weather stations
  • Efficient and minimal use of helicopters
  • Recycling
  • Use of locally grown organic foods
  • Efficient “on demand” hot water heaters
  • Low and no flow toilets
  • FSC certified paper and vegetable based inks

We'll keep looking for ways to minimize our footprint. Any new practices will be judged carefully by their effect on the environment. Our commitment to this issue is real, and we'll reflect that in our actions and our practices.

“It's been a most wonderful holiday. Your mountains have renewed my spirit and you have given us so much friendship that we are filled with happiness. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
