Booking Conditions

Once you are sure which program is right for you, we recommend that you book as soon as possible to guarantee your space.

You can sign up with SME by either phoning our office in Revelstoke or by email. To hold your spot we require a deposit of 30% of the program fee. For your program you can pay by VISA, Master Card or with a personal cheque. After you receive our confirmation, a detailed program, statement of account and equipment list, we ask that you send us full payment no later than 10 weeks prior to the program starting date.

If the full payment is not received 10 weeks prior to the starting date of your program with SME, SME reserves the right to forfeit your full deposit and sell your spot to the next person on the waiting list.

Insurance

We recommend that you purchase program cancellation insurance. If you have difficulty finding this insurance please contact our office in Revelstoke. This insurance must be purchased simultaneously with booking your program with SME. We also suggest that you have adequate medical and life insurance.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

SME cannot make exceptions to these cancellation policies for any reason, including personal emergencies and weather. There is no refund in the event of late arrival or early departure.

All cancellations must be received in writing.

If notice is received more than 10 weeks prior to the starting date:

  1. If you find an alternative date in the same season at the Durrand Glacier Chalet, then we are happy your rebook your reservation and transfer all paid money less Cdn. $200.00 service charge per person.
  2. Full refund, less Cdn. $200.00 per person.

If notice is received less than 10 weeks prior to the starting date, no money will be refunded.

Selkirk Mountain Experience does not take any responsibility if you miss your trip out our any reason including, but not limited to, missed flights, delayed flights, cancelled flights, road closures or not getting through customs in Canada as well as personal and business issues.

>> Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement

All guests hiking with SME (guided and self-guided) are required to sign a "Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims and Assumption of Risk Agreement". The Release of Liability and Waiver of Claims Agreement must be signed and witnessed prior to leaving the hotel/B&B in Revelstoke.

We request that you carefully read the Release Agreement before signing. By signing this document you will waive certain legal rights, including the right to sue should you become involved in an accident.
